Training prerequisites
The minimum level required is A1. Even with little experience in English, you can already reach this level, corresponding to the understanding and use of simple everyday sentences. A free level assessment is carried out before the start of the course.
Objective
You progress thanks to:

Target levels and method
This training aims for a B1 objective , on a range between B1.9 and B1.11, integrated into a progressive method structured in 22 levels, from A1 to C1.
A precise initial positioning allows you to define your starting point and build a path that is truly adapted to your situation.

You will benefit from individual support from start to finish.
Each training course is entirely tailor-made : the content, the themes covered, the materials and the activities are adjusted to your specific needs, your pace and your personal objectives.
Content
This training program is designed, delivered, and monitored by James Batchelor, who personally creates all lessons, e-learning activities, and teaching materials.
The objective is clear: to help you progress toward a functional B1 level while developing real oral confidence and ease.
Course organization

One-to-one 40-minute lessons with the trainer

Recommended pace: 1 to 3 lessons per week to ensure steady progress

Primary focus on spoken expression, fluency, and spontaneity

Live corrections, reformulations, and targeted advice to build confidence quickly
Between each lesson, you complete two 30-minute e-learning activities.
These activities are created by the trainer and adapted to your level, objectives, and personal interests (videos, audio, reading, guided reflection). They help consolidate what is learned between sessions and ensure continuous exposure to English.
Availability
Lessons are available from Tuesday to Friday, between 12:00 and 20:00 (subject to availability).
Authentic experiences with TalkAbroad
In addition to lessons with the trainer, participants benefit from online conversations with English speakers from around the world, through a partnership with TalkAbroad.
These exchanges offer a unique opportunity to:

Participants book their sessions directly on the TalkAbroad platform.

Initial placement and target levels
This training program is designed to reach a B1 level, within a range from B1.9 to B1.11, depending on individual progress.
Following a precise initial placement assessment, the program may begin from level A1.4.
The learning path is then built progressively and in a fully personalized way, with the objective of reaching up to level B1.11 at most, depending on:

Linguistic progression

Support and certification
The training is certified by the TOEIC (RS7229) at the end of the program.
Participants commit to sitting the scheduled exams in order to obtain the targeted certification.
A 10-hour e-learning module is included to become familiar with the format, expectations, and specific features of the TOEIC certification.
The exam is taken remotely, within a 12-month period, with registration handled by James Batchelor.
